Presence of the label and legibility of the marking<\/strong>\n\t<\/h3>\n\t

The lifting system’s marking must include the following:<\/p>\n

    \n
  • Working load limit for straight lifting;<\/li>\n
  • Material the sling is made of: polyester, polyamide or polypropylene;<\/li>\n
  • Terminal degree (metal load bearing component, supplied as part of a sling and used to close the sling and allow it to be anchored, fixed to other lifting gear, connected to other flat woven webbing slings to form a multiple-leg sling, or connected to the hook of the crane or other lifting gear);<\/li>\n
  • Nominal length in meters;<\/li>\n
  • Name, symbol, manufacturer’s mark or other unambiguous identification;<\/li>\n
  • Traceability code;<\/li>\n
  • Number and corresponding part of the applicable standard (UNI EN 1492).<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

    All information must be clearly legible and indelible and written on a durable label attached to the sling. The label must be attached and marked with a font precisely specified in the standard. A section of the label marked with the above information must be enclosed under the stitching for reference.<\/p>\n

    The colour of the label identifies the material of the sling:<\/p>\n

    POLYAMIDE<\/strong> – GREEN<\/p>\n

    POLYESTER<\/strong> – BLUE<\/p>\n

    POLYPROPYLENE<\/strong> – BROWN<\/p>\n

    Prevent damages to the labels by keeping them away from the hook’s load and the choke angle.<\/p>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\"etichette\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\n

    Inspection procedure to perform before each use<\/strong>\n\t<\/h3>\n\t

    Before commissioning the sling, ensure that:<\/p>\n

      \n
    • The hitches match exactly the ones stated in the order;<\/li>\n
    • The manufacturer’s certificate is available;<\/li>\n
    • The working load limit (WLL) marked on the hitch matches the information in the certificate.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

      Before each use, the slings must be inspected to check for any defects and ensure that identification and specifications are correct.<\/p>\n

      Never use an unidentified or faulty sling: submit it for review to a competent person.<\/p>\n

      During its use, it is necessary to frequently check for defects or damages, including the ones that may be hidden by dirt, which may also impact the use of the sling. Said checks must also be carried out on any accessory used in association with the lifting system.<\/p>\n

      If you have any doubts on the suitability for use or if the required markings have become illegible or got lost, remove the sling and review it.<\/p>\n

      Recommendations for use<\/strong>\n\t<\/h3>\n\t
        \n
      • Do not run over the slings\/tie-rods with the wheels of trolleys or vehicles<\/li>\n
      • Keep slings or tie-rods away from welding areas where sparks are generated;<\/li>\n
